I remember the day (actually night!!) I got the offer letter to join the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) and I went through the website, Instagram page, YouTube, LinkedIn, and whatever I could find at that time hundreds of times, seeing pictures of campus, bought a smile on my face, and I knew I will have a great time here. Then we had online classes the whole class was waiting for the email which would invite us all to the campus and one fine day it came and I hopped on a train and came to campus.
I remember entering through the main gate and I was awestruck by the greenery and fountain in front of the Academic block. It was all that I had imagined if not more. The campus is self-sufficient to satisfy all the needs and demands of students from a multi-cuisine cafeteria where one will find parathas along with masala dosa and fresh fruits and a gymnasium in both the hostels which has all the latest types of equipment for physical fitness and meditation center for mental health and mindfulness. The campus also facilitates sports and has badminton, volleyball, and basketball court on campus and table tennis tables in each hostel the boys’ hostel RCI has a football ground which doubles as a cricket pitch too. The campus also has cycles that are ridden mostly in the evening and post-dinner to remain fit. The conduit and clubs arrange various competitions like BPL (Bimtech Premium League) and Liga D’ Bimtech to encourage sportsmanship. The campus also has a 24*7 health care center with an ambulance service in case of an emergency.
The campus has a music hut where all the musical instruments are kept and singers sing to their heart’s content and an activity plaza in the academic block where a stage is built for all the cultural and academic events. To hang out with friends and to do projects there are machans on campus where a group of friends can sit and spend quality time together.
