"Marketing to the Millennial Indian", Seminar on the 27th Nov 2010 at Lodhi Road campus.

As part of our endeavour to have constant productive interaction with the industry, we at IILM Institute for Higher Education (www.iilm.edu), are organising a "Marketing Seminar on Marketing to the Millennial Indian" on the 27th November 2010 at our Lodhi Road Campus.

The seminar aims to give a unique opportunity for young and upcoming executives, faculty and students to hear and interact with the best management practitioners from the industry.

Why you cannot miss this event

In today's highly competitive, global marketplace the pressure on organizations to find new ways to create and deliver value to customers grows ever stronger.

Gradually, in emerging economies as well as mature markets, the power of the buyer has overtaken that of the seller.
The rules are different in a buyers' market. In particular customer service becomes a key differentiator as the sophistication and demands of customers continually increase. At the same time, market maturity combined with new sources of global competition has led to over-capacity in many industries leading to an inevitable pressure on price. Price has always been a critical competitive variable in many markets and the signs are that it will become even more of an issue as the "commoditization" of markets continues.

It is against this backdrop as by 2025 India’s market becomes the fifth largest in the world, surpassing the size of Germany’s consumer market though tied closely to its large population. On a per capita basis, real spending will remain at 48,632 Indian rupees in 2025 (or $1,065)—which will represent a tripling from today’s level. Add the fact that during the next few decades India will likely surpass China as the world’s most populous country, and it is clear that all consumer goods companies seeking faster growth must begin to focus on the subcontinent.

This Seminar aims to provide a platform to receive top-notch knowledge in order to capitalize on the strategies of capturing the future Indian consumer, latest trends in innovations and technologies, how to develop the organisation and its culture to stay competitive in consumer driven markets, along with advanced applications in the areas of marketing to both the rural and the urban consumers, 2010 and beyond. It will give an opportunity to learn the importance of consumer driven strategies and its vital role in achieving competitive advantage.
