ART OF LIVING

Werk-staTT organized a workshop on Art of Living on the 8th of April 2008.

The guest speaker was, Atika Dhandia.

She started the workshop by asking students ‘What do we seek in our lives?’ Most of the answers boiled down to the fact that everybody wanted peace of mind. She then made the students realize that nobody actually knew what the mind is! So, it is next to impossible to gain that peace that we all seek! To know what the mind is and to attain its peace, she gave to valuable tips.

1. To understand the mind, it is very important to put all energies in the present. It is important to live and be in the present.
2. One of the techniques to direct these energies to the present is through ‘Pranayaam’

She then made the students perform the activity of pranayaam, followed by meditation. By the end of the session, all students felt very positive, energetic, relaxed and at ease.

The response of the students at the end of the event was very positive and the workshop was a huge success.
