Introduction

Himani Avasthi is a faculty of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource at IILM, Gurgaon. She has an experience of over 9 years and has been teaching at IILM, Gurgaon for past 4 years. She is associated with IILM since 2002, with IILM, Jaipur (2002-2005) and from July-2005 with IILM, Gurgaon. Her area of interest is related to work – life balance and corporate social responsibility in the organizations. She has some paper presentations and publications on work-life balance enablers and CSR at Jet Airways.  She teaches HRM - generalist and contemporary, cross cultural & global management and CSR as well.

In last 7 years, with IILM, she taught under-graduate students with an exposure of International Universities like Bradford University, U.K. and Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland, Post-Graduates & Executive MBA students. She is the students’ mentor for PG students.

• Masters of Corporate Management (MCM) - Lucknow University

• Specialization - Human Resource Management (1998-2000)

• B.Sc. Mathematics (PCM) – (1995-1998), Allahabad University

• 1. Case Study on Jet Airways Pvt. Ltd. accepted at 27th SCOS, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, July 2009.
• 2. Research paper in International HR Conference-2009 on Impact of Technology on HR: Work Life Balance Enablers at IES, Mumbai on 6th Feb’06, paper published in the proceedings.
• 3. Presented the paper on Outsourcing -“HR issues in Outsourcing” in International seminar at MIM, Manipal, 7-9Jan’08
• 4. Presented a paper on “Human Development with special reference to Women’s Health in Rajasthan” in the National Level Knowledge Sharing Conference on Health & Human Development held in Jaisalmer on 13-14 March 2005, paper is published in UNDP Magazine and also available on their website.
• 5. Presented a paper on Contemporary HR issues – Outsourcing at a seminar at Mody Institute of Management, Kota held on 4-5th September, 2004.
