Major Academic Interests
Abhijit Mukhopadhyay has been teaching various subjects of Economics like Managerial Economics, Economic Environment and Policy, International Economics, Economics of Globalisation, Econometrics and Forecasting, Retail Economics in IILM Institute for Higher Education in the past. He will be teaching Managerial Economics (ME) and Economic Environment and Policy (EEP) in current PG Programme.
His primary areas of interests are monetary policy issues within the ambit of monetary economics in particular, and macroeconomic problems in India in general. Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, International Economics are his other areas of interest within the subject area.
Qualifications
Work Experience
He has almost eight years of working experience at different academic and research organizations. Before joining IILM Institute for Higher Education, he was working as a Research Fellow In Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi and apart from a few small teaching assignments, mainly worked on various research projects. Major projects were about agricultural trade, Indo-China trade, and WTO-TBT related issues.
He has earlier worked in research institutes like National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), New Delhi and Centre for Budgetary Accountability (CBA), New Delhi. He also worked as an analyst in Investment Research and Information Services Ltd. (IRIS). He contributed some book reviews in “Down to Earth,” published by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi.
