International Conference on the topic “Organizational Excellence Through The Power of Human Capital”. The HR Conference is scheduled for the 7th October 2017 at IILM Institute for Business & Management Gurgaon.
The compeve environment of the 21st century where most compeon is global and innovaon is the need of the hour, change becomes the core competency of any organizaon. Human Capital can play an important role in helping organizaons achieve change. Human Resource has always been central to organizaons, to-day it has taken on an even more central role in building a ﬁrm’s compeve advantage. The dynamics of change becomes one of the central facets of any business where the role, funcon and process of Human Resource must be redeﬁned in the context of change. Human Resource Strategies and pracces explain how to manage the transion smoothly, rapidly and successfully and make the organiza on compeve and reach excellence. Compeveness is the best parameter which determines the survival of enterprises and organizaonal excellence in this scenario. The introducon of an eﬀecve HR strategy aligned to strategic business planning is thus a prerequisite to ensure that underlying power structures, procedures, pracces, values and norms are in place to facilitate the necessary pace of change that can be sustained within the psychological capacity of the business.
Change is the only constant force in this dynamic and compeve world. The theme of this year’s HR conference is based on the need and methods of such change in the HR scenario.
Objective of the conference :
1. To determine Organizational excellence through four dimensions (Management Excellence, Employees Excellence, Structure Excellence,and Strategy Excellence).
2. To raise the Power of Human Capital by incorporating latest technology.
3. Latest innovations and strategies for Recruiting employees, Engaging employees, Acquiring talent, Retain employees, Optimize employee performance to reach higher level of competitiveness.
4. Working towards Organizational Culture for achieving organizational excellence. Culture is perceived as the engine which powers the organization. Culture, being a psychological construct, indicates what people feel, perceive, and assume.
Dr Aquil Busrai graduated in Commerce with a Distinction. He obtained his MBA from Xavier Labour Relations Institute where he was awarded the J M Kumarappa Gold Medal for ranking First. He later passed LL. B and an Advanced Diploma in Training and Development. A University rank holder, he was honored with the Bharucha Gold Medal for academic excellence. He was awarded Ph D in April 2012. He is a Certified Executive Coach.
Dr Busrai has had 44 plus years’ experience in Industry. He has worked in various HR roles with Unilever in Kenya and India and was Executive Director HR Motorola for Asia Pacific countries. He worked with Shell Malaysia as Director Human Resources, Shell Malaysia and Managing Director of Shell People Services Asia Sdn Bhd. His last corporate assignment was with IBM India Limited as Executive Director Human Resources. He is currently CEO of aquil busrai consulting.
Dr Busrai has been actively associated with Management movement in India having been the President of Delhi Management Association, Vice Chairman for All India Management Association’s Northern Region. He is on the National Council of CII, ISTD and ASSOCHAM and on Board of several education institutes and Corporates. He was awarded the “Pathfinder Award” by National HRD Network for being selected as “Outstanding Seasoned HR Professional”. Last year, he was adjudged amongst the “Most powerful HR Professional in India” at the Asia Pacific HRM Summit in Singapore. He was also bestowed “Lifetime Achievement Award” at Top Rankers Meet in Kuala Lumpur. At its National Convention in November 2012, National HRD Network honoured Dr Busrai with the “Life Time Achievement Award”. In March 2015 he was honoured with The Golden Globe Tigers Award in Kuala Lumpur for Leadership in HR. In November 2015, XLRI honoured him with “Distinguished Alumnus Life Time Achievement Award” Dr Busrai is a visiting faculty at Berkeley EMP and UCLA PGPX, besides Indian Institute of Management. He is a Fellow of All India Management Association and Past National President of National HRD Network.
Dr Busrai is a keen student of non-verbal communication and is authoring a book on ‘Body Language’. He is an ardent wild life enthusiast and a serious wild life photographer.

Mr. Mehra has over 30 years of experience in marketing and business development across industries, including capital goods, industrial products and consumer services. He spent fifteen years of his career holding senior positions in the aviation industry, including General Electric and Lucas Aerospace. He served as General Manager of Marketing at ITC Ltd.’s Hotels Division. He serves as an Independent Director of India Hospitality Corp.
Mr. Mehra holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology (Mesra, Ranchi) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management (Bombay).
