International Projects

Collaborative Project with HU for “Original Features” (Year 2011)

IILM is working in collaboration with Herdfordshire university for the UK based company called Original Features. Original Features is part of the large Sandwood Design and Build group of companies, its main business is to promote and sell its Old English Tiles, fireplaces and other period restoration products via its retail business.

The company wanted to explore the scope and rationale to enter the Indian market for Victorian tiles. IILM students are responsible for analyzing the market potential for these tiles and then recommending the most suitable business model for entering the  Indian market with the special reference to the use of E- Media for the same.

IILM gurgaon selected Six students from PGP –I , namely Abhishek Agrawal, Anuj Bhagat, Areeba Wazahat, Kirandeep Kaur, Neeraj Chopra and Tanvi Shukla working closely under the guidance of Shruti Gupta( Project Tutor, India Team).The students are in direct touch with the UK team and have been sharing the valuable insights through video-conferencing, mails and through Skype.

The students have been working quite proactively and enthusiastically for the collaborative project, and have developed a tremendous insight into the nuances of working in the cross cultural team and have gained an effective understanding about the marketing research/ project consulting.  

 

Joint Project with Hertfordshire University

IILM has entered into an innovative collaboration with Hertfordshire University (HU) of United Kingdom for a joint project. As per this project three students of IILM will be working with the research students and faculty from HU.

This project is being done for GMN (Global Marketing Network) which is a well established professional body for the Marketing professionals in UK and it is also expanding globally. They are making huge strides and are launching in India in 2010. GMN are keen to take up research and investigations as to how they can launch their brand in India and what is the best entry strategy for them. It is an interesting research from marketing point of view.

IILM has nominated three PGP-I students namely, Shivangi Mathur, Maharaja Gaurav, and Mohsina Kidwai. They are a part of the research team. The students are in direct touch with their British counterpart and interact through tele-learning, tele-conferencing, chat and skype. The project is being monitored by very senior marketing faculty from HU and IILM.

The students are very enthusiastic about the project. It is a very positive learning experience for them. This will enable them to learn various practical aspects of marketing in the field of education.
